WORLD LANGUAGES AT JOHN HAY  – REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW FOR 2011/2012 SCHOOL YEAR!

Art, music, drama and games guide the curriculum in The Language Link’s world language program. Classes are offered in Spanish, French, Mandarin and Japanese. Since the focus is on oral proficiency, classes are conducted entirely in the target language. Class sizes are small at 8 – 12 students, so that students can be fully engaged in their target language and it’s culture(s).

The Language Link teachers are creative, dynamic and love sharing their native languages and cultures with children!

Registration and payment can be made online at www.thelanguagelinkllc.com. If you have any questions you can contact Barbara Ford at The Language Link at Barbara.Ford@thelanguagelinkllc.com or call 206-708-4633.

Thanks!

Fun @ the Sock Hop!

The 3rd annual Sock Hop was lots of fun and raised approximately $4,000 for our sister school in Afghanistan.   Thank you to John Hay students, parent volunteers and the Public Stewardship Committe for their time and efforts.

This event would not be possible without the help of our extraordinary volunteers!  They decorated and organized, cooked hotdogs, popped popcorn, painted faces, served food and drinks, ran the cupcake walk, played music, sold tickets and glow sticks, counted money and cleaned up – WOW!

Stay tuned for more on our Journey with an Afghan School project.
