Thanks to all who contributed to the Penny Harvest!
It was a huge success! John Hay collected over 18 ½ sacks (550 pounds) of coins for a community not-for-profit(s). It was a tight and enthusiastic grade level competition to collect the most coins. The numbers are in and…
1. 3rd grade with 4 ½ sacks of coins totaling 160 pounds!
2. 1st grade came in a close second with 4 ¼ sacks of coins totaling 141 pounds.
3. Kindergarten with an enthusiastic 3 ½ sacks
4. 2nd grade with 3 ¼ sacks
5. 5th grade 1 ¾ sacks with a last minute push and,
6. 4th grade with 1 ¼ sacks
Way to go all! Our community thanks you! Look for more details in the Spring as the 4th and 5th grade volunteers decide where to donate the money.
We will still accept coins until Wed. December 2nd. If you have coins at home that haven’t made it to school yet, we are happy to include them! Special thanks to our wonderful office staff, Ms. Abella, Ms. Harrison & Ms. Howard for their help throughout the Harvest!
