Baseball, hotdogs and a good cause — June 6

Please join John Hay Elementary School staff and families to celebrate the end of the school year with a baseball game on Saturday, June 6 at 1:10 p.m. at Safeco Field (Mariners vs. Twins).

This is not just any game:  Your attendance will directly support the important work of the Martinez Foundation, founded last year by Edgar and Holli to promote diversity in the teacher workforce. By creating need-based diversity scholarship and support programs, The Martinez Foundation feels it can empower students from underrepresented populations to not only pursue higher education for their own benefit, but also positively impact the students and communities they serve.

The Seattle Mariners are generously donating $7.00 of each ticket sold to The Martinez Foundation.  At our discounted rate of $15.00 per person, that’s nearly 50% per ticket!  Our seats will be on the 300 level.  Groups of 40 or more will be recognized on the diamond vision reader board during the game.  Please fill out and return the form below along with your check no later than Friday, May 29.   Tickets will be purchased and available at Safeco Field Will Call. Make checks payable to Shelby Baker and she will write one check to the Mariners.

We are hoping to bring a festive contingent to the game. Viva Beisbol!! Viva John Hay!!!  Interested? Please print out this form and return it to school.
