Dear John Hay Families,
As a result of Public Health’s ongoing investigation into the flu infection of a student at Madrona K-8, the decision was made today by Public Health to close Madrona K-8 for 7 days, starting today. All other schools will remain open and activites will go on as planned.
District officials are in constant contact with local health authorities who continue to report that most swine flu cases in the United States are similar to regular seasonal influenza common each winter. Most people have uncomplicated infections that get better without medical treatment, although some people can have more serious infections.
We will continue to keep you informed of any changes. Please take this opportunity to ensure that emergency contact information is current for all students…
