(Rain or Shine)
Seattle Pottery will be demonstrating the process of Raku for our school community. We’ll have two kilns firing student work over the course of two days. Raku is an ancient Japanese technique that was developed to produce ceremonial tea cups and bowls in the 16th century.
The character for Raku means enjoyment and the process is one that yields unpredictable and beautiful results. We will be firing pieces that were created by each of our students and staff.
Stop by and join us for this exciting art experience!
